Katniss is sent to live with her Aunt Effie in District 12, where a slave boy called Peeta captures her attention and strikes her as something special. This is a world where women are the dominant gender and men are considered scum, only deemed useful for reproduction, slavery and pleasure. You can't socialize, be civil and-most importantly-fall in love with them. If these rules are broken there will be dire consequences. How will Katniss cope when feelings towards the blonde slave arise when he manages to break down the walls she had built around herself bit by bit? Will she conform and comply with the law like everyone else? Or will she become the catalyst for change? And, most of all, will she listen to her heart and let herself fall in love?
