Als Alara terug loopt van haar beste vriendin naar huis, raakt ze verstrengelt met een groep criminelen. in een poging om van de politie af te komen, neemt de groep Alara mee als geizeling, maar daarna weten ze niet wat ze met haar moeten doen. tot ze dit hebben bedacht zit Alara vast bij ze.
Maar zelfs als Alara eindelijk weg weet te komen van de groep, beland ze net zo snel weer in de handen van de volgende. En ondanks dat de volgende goed wel beter is, weet ze nog niet zo zeker hoe snel ze weer thuis is.
