Philophobia (n) (Greek philia, love + phobia, fear) - a fear of falling in love/emotional attachment.
*One kiss, two kiss, three kiss, four, suddenly all we knew has changed; once more.*
What would you do if your friend was depressed, and you could do nothing but watch, because it was your fault?
What would you do if you knew someone who could freeze time for you, and you thought they kept you safe, but were plotting against you?
What would you do, if you were in love, but it suddenly hit you that you were the last in pass the parcel, that last to unwrap the taunting layer to reveal a broken, rotten soul beneath it and you had to take it home?
Would you close into yourself? End yourself? Or would you dig a well into your soul and try to drown it in attempts of ignorance and disposal while it eats away just about every form of confidence you had?
Soon you would realise none of it is up to you anymore. Soon, your fate will emerge, no matter what path you turn.
And it always ends in just one word. What will yours be?
Nixon is the 3rd book in the Broken Series. (Ryan is the 1st, Brynn is the 2nd)
Nixon leaves rehab early because he can't deal with being there anymore. His sister Kelis finds someone in need of a roommate so he moves in with the girl and gives her his middle name, Lucas. He quickly becomes addicted to the girl and once he gets one taste he's done for. He warns her about his past, about his name, but she ignores all the red flags, not realizing exactly how intertwined she is with the people from his past. He becomes enamored with her, feels like she was made for him while still battling the demons of his past and soon it all becomes too much for him to handle. He makes a heartbreaking decision, thinking it's what's best for both of them and everything changes.
