The man came behind her and kissed her neck.
"Finally, you are mine," he said softly, caressing her body with a rough hand. The smell of alcohol wafted over to her nose. Natasha squeezed her eyes shut and cursed silently. 'Why did I come here?'
Suddenly, the rough hand on her body was whipped off. Her eyes still closed, she heard loud voices and grunts behind her. As she opened her eyes, a blur flashed before them. All of it ended with a thud sound of a body falling to the asphalt. Protective arms wrapped around her. A different hand now rested on her shoulder. Steve.
"Why are you here?" She asked, a hint of annoyance in her voice.
Avoiding her gaze, Steve looked out and behind them to make sure there were no other dangers. Spotting none, he stepped back a bit and looked down at Natasha.
"I'm your bodyguard. I'm supposed to protect you."
