At Buckingham Palace, the King decides to draw the name of one British earl out of the hundreds in the country. Twenty-four people of the house and surroundings of the drawn earl must be reaped as tributes to fight to the death, until a lone victor remains. The earl in question is Robert Crawley, Fifth Earl of Grantham.
