Among generations of her Kitsune kind, they have married humans. Soon, with each child that was born less true Kitsune traits would show. Less control of powers, chance of tail gaining, random tail and ears appearance and more of a random chance of changing into their fox form. Okami didn't have many Kitsune traits, that was one downfall of hers. She was caught along with her mother, who...was slain. There she would meet a friend, that she would, in a way, name herself from.

Two years have gone by since Kitsune was defeated by Sakon and Ukon of the Sound Four, sustaining a serious throat injury and being told she'd never talk again. Despite the time gap, Kiba hasn't given up hope of finding Kitsune again, constantly in search of any clues of her whereabouts. Returning to the grasps of Orochimaru, she's developed amnesia, her brain blocking out her past but nonetheless she spends her time training and getting stronger with Sasuke Uchiha.
