Fredrick has always been teased and bullied for her clumsiness and her name. She's not normally clumsy, no. At least, she wouldn't if she didn't have wings.
"Look, she can't walk two steps without knocking something over!" The others scoffed.
"And her name, too! What kind of female name is Fredrick?" Someone else added.
"Not to mention her ears! they're hideous!" piped in another.
Eight years later, and she just ignores the stares. She became introverted and shy, hoping people would leave her alone.
Mere days after that, she becomes grief ridden, and running away from home. Shooting into the sky, she lets herself go and faints from the low oxygen level. But just before she closes her eyes for the final time, a cat angel with yellow eyes fills her vision.
