This is Book 2 in the Portal series. You WILL get lost if you don't read the first one: Fur, Scales, Claws, and Tails.
This is also a Monster Falls AU

Moonlight ran ahead of him, obviously winning the obstacle course that they had set up. He flashed one of those shining grins that he was famous for, and squeezed through a log where Dreamcatcher couldn't follow. His blue glow disappearing with him. Dreamcatcher shrugged and kept running.
There was the finish line, the bank of a 'cursed river' right in front of him. Well, no one really knew if it WAS cursed, but would you want to test out a rumor? Be stripped of who you are? Or worse?
