Shadow would never speak to you unless if Maria wanted him to which only made it more clear to you the hard facts of reality. He was here to save Maria. Not you. Or at least, that's what everyone thought.

When Shadow gets injured from one of his and Sonic's infamous fights and is left bed bound, Sonic feels pure guilt and goes to apologise to him. Sonic just can't help but stay away from Shadow and visits become more regular, their bond gets closer and feelings become more clear between the two... ⚠️ i wrote this story when i was a new fan of the Sonic franchise, story doesn't really make sense as Shadow should be able to heal but lets just ignore that🥰Complete
