My name's Cassia Hollester. I'm different from the usual suspects, I'm divergent. Although, I never knew what that actually meant. I'm willing to find out. I'd never experienced love before, not even in my own family- until I met Eric. The leader that everyone was scared of, including myself. ******* *This story is set a year before divergent, hence why Tris or any of that books characters are included in Dauntless. This is a backstory for Eric. I've taken bits and pieces from the Divergent series and also the movie. I also used the book about Four that recently came out. It takes you through his journey through initiation on in to leadership. He also develops a love interest that isn't in either the books or the movie. I wanted him to have a softer side that only she'll see. We've all been wondering what's outside the fence, and this is what I think could happen. Join characters like Tris, Tobias, Uriah, and Zeke as they step out of their world and into our own and face things that they'd never faced before. Tris and Tobias, forced apart. The dead, still alive. A girl related to Tobias that is more like Tris than anyone else. And...a break up?! Will the characters be able to handle our world? Or will everything they've worked for have been for nothing?

When she transferred to Dauntless, she didn't plan to make friends or catch the eyes of a certain blue-eyed leader. Yet here we are. Disclaimer: I do not own any characters or ideas presented, except for the original ones I created. I do not own the rights to the image in the cover. Thank you. :)

I never really was made to be in Abnegation. I didn't ever fit in. All of the selflessness - I just couldn't do it. I couldn't forget myself in a matter of seconds then turn to another in need. I always thought of myself and what I would be like when I was older. Would I live in Abnegation? Could I learn to forget myself eventually? No. It just wouldn't happen. Life is never that easy in Abnegation, for me, at least. (incomplete)
