When magical beasts cross into Japan through portals, magical huntresses (and some magical huntsmen) are there to slay them. Consisting of a group of teenagers and young adults working semi-independently under the guise of the Protection and Research Agency, they fight day in and day out for a variety of reasons, using special rings to transform and gain weapons to use in their battles, for which they get paid for each magical beast they kill and bonuses if they save anyone attacked by them. One particular magical huntress, the sword-swinging orphan Ruka Kishio, is asked to join a small group of these hunters led by the charismatic Hana Miyashita, who herself wields a katana and is descended from former nobility, after Hana sees Ruka easily kill a beast by herself while on lunch break from school. Ruka, a girl with a troubled and at times traumatic past who usually fought alone, accepts after barely losing a sword duel to Hana. She soon finds herself bonding with the other members of the Fox Knights, in particular their second-in-command and only boy Yoshiro Arikawa despite the two of them frequently arguing, and she also finds herself becoming its third-in-command and primary trainer as they battle magical beast after magical beast. However, Hana has deeper ambitions to restore the honor of her family name, and she aspires to attain power by any means necessary. Can Ruka help Hana with her dreams, or will she be swept up in them? A dark romance, vividly grotesque, morally questionable, fate-defying, vampirically induced tale of happily ever after. With a little bit of dark humor, of course. ****** Tessa was one of the best assassins for hire, she lives for the thrill of the kill. The blood of her victims never tainted her subconscious. Until one day there was a threat to her life. She had three months to live. Tessa was doomed, she had tried everything and she knew she couldn't get out of her impending death. And what did Tessa do when she only had three months to live? She made a bucket list. She had been busy with her lust to kill that she didn't get to live a normal life, after all, she was a psychopath. Within weeks numbers were being crossed off from her list, from having tacos for breakfast, the morning after sex, and somewhere on the list was falling in love. Tessa wrote that as a joke, but deep down she wanted to feel it, she wanted to be able to love someone before she died. Fun fact: Psychopaths are almost incapable of truly loving another. Nero had taken lives, he had taken humans, vampires, and other supernatural beings, yet none would challenge him. He was a possessive bastard, he was a ruler, a sadistic male who protects what was his. One day Nero was faced with the most beautiful woman with a strange view of death. She even had a bucket list. As a vampire King who had lived a thousand lives her careless attitude intrigued him. Will Nero fall for her and resist all temptation and let her slip through his fingers because of her stubbornness?

Dragonfire: Celestia by Iluna-_05
47 parts Complete Mature
In the world of Dragonfire, anything is possible. Flying, teleportation, invisibility, the ability to create a lightning storm on a whim...anything can be done. And anything can exist. Goblins, Orcs, Dragons, Dwarves, Kitsunes...there are countless races, and countless abilities. A world of fantasy in which anything is achievable. Or so it seems. After all, everything has a cost. And victory...victory is the most costing of all. Across the Black Sea, guarded by the Leviathan, there exists a large land separated into five territories. Celestia, Arvan, Ingres, Illicen, and Arumi. These five territories are named after those who control them. At least, that is how it used to be. From a distant land, the Snake Kingdom managed to bypass the Leviathan, and invade these five territories! Under the guidance of General Clauve, they crushed everyone in sight, until their only remaining opponent was Celestia. But they made a mistake, and Celestia capitalized. In a crushing defeat, the Snake Kingdom was bested after nearly 8 years of conflict. After the war ended, Albedo Aria, a soldier from Celestia, was promoted to the rank of General. But she didn't feel like a hero. Suffering from severe PTSD, this story follows her as she tries to overcome the nightmares of war, and move on from the terrible things she was forced to do. She was raised to be a soldier, and joined the war from the age of eleven. As a soldier of Celestia, she could never, and still cannot ever disobey any orders. When war calls, she must answer. Whether she is truly willing to or not. But after four years without conflict, surely things couldn't reach that state again? Or perhaps that isn't the case. After all, her dear cousin must deliver a letter to her. A letter telling her that the Snake Kingdom is on the rise in their very own land. A letter telling her that every sliver of happiness she has gained after the war ended will be lost. A letter telling her that she must return to war...
