Collecting enemies is actually very easy, even for the nicest of people. if you, say... Assassinate the Emperor of Rome?

-

Idun has always had a penchant for annoying people, but also the luck to avoid outright enmity with just about anyone. Her luck, thought to be inexhaustible, is soon to falter, however.

-

Amir Pashas Al'Aziz has been groomed for a position as the Commander of his country's mages for as long as he's been alive.

But now, disowned by the King of the Abbasid Caliphate, he's only a member of the Physical Academy, and a Ward of Lady Idun, being raised in part by her and her friends, the Elite of the Academy.

He is also ridiculously, *stupidly* loyal.

"Those who's eyes gleam with power Will wither and will fall, And those who only have eyes for another, Will rise above them all." "As you are well aware, we are at war," council leader Sir Ptolemus Brom announced to the twins in a meeting, only minutes after the coronation. "The public is already concerned about a joint rule, and in their minds you two are innocent children being pulled into a mess of politics; and quite frankly, you are. But we don't have time for that. We need to show them a leader." ----- Seventeen year old twin orphans, Alexandria and Kalyssa Leirin are both the queens of Amaria. It's unheard of. It's unruly. It's completely rash. Yet it works. Their mother died in childbirth, and their father was assassinated by highly skilled warriors from the rival nation of Aidana. An attack masterfully orchestrated by the Aidanian King himself. A self centered and narcissistic ruler who had lived a privileged life. As princesses, the twins had been secretly trained behind their father's, and their country's back, to kill. And now, in a time of sacrifice, war, and a touch of romance, they must use all they've learned to guide them, and to save their falling kingdom. The Fierce Illegitimate Miss by Black_Diamond_422
177 parts Complete Mature
Yu Ling Long is the shu (born of a concubine) daughter in a general's family. Since her mother was only a tribute dancer, her position is the lowest of the low. She used to live with her mother outside the father's residence, and they only received some monthly money from him. He didn't bother seeing them. But when her mother dies, she moves into the general's residence. The general is a very irresponsible and violent man. He doesn't really get attached to women, just letting his lust dictate his actions. His wife is a jealous woman, who killed one of his previous concubines, because he doted on her too much. She similarly wants to get rid of Yu Ling Long, in part to vent her frustrations over her husband's cheating habits. Because the Sixth Miss - the general's legitimate daughter, was bitten by a snake, she needs detoxification. The cure was apparently getting poisoned by scorpions, to fight one poison with another. But since she's already weak, they decided it would be better if she drank the blood of someone poisoned by scorpions instead. The general's madam naturally decided to use Yu Ling Long's blood. During the process of getting bitten by the scorpion, the original timid Yu Ling Long died of fright (and maybe poison? it's never made clear). Then Yu Mei takes over her body. Yu Mei is a modern woman. She was some mafia boss, so she's very capable with fighting and overbearing attitude. She died because the man she fell in love with betrayed and killed her. So she doesn't trust easily afterward. Since she took over Yu Ling Long's body, she refuses to adapt to the circumstances of a lowly illegitimate daughter, and uses her violence to fight for a peaceful life, where no one will challenge her and plot against her. Basically, she beats them up into submission. In the meantime, she acquires a tail - a very persistent prince, who only seems to stick to her harder, the colder she treats him. Did ancient men have such heavy tastes, she wonders.
Rising of the Weakest Mage by Jacob_McCauley

(Please read first two chapters for info, thank you!) For a long time, elemental magic has been widely known, used, and practiced. Elemental magic is based upon the four core elements - Earth, Air, Fire and Water. Elemental magic is most prominent in England, where many mages gather to learn and research elemental magic. However, during the early 1500's, the Fire Outbreaks happened. Several various fire mages suddenly swept through and destroyed the smaller cities of England, killing many in their way and leaving no survivors. Due to this the Council of Magic, the governing figure of elemental magic, issued an act - The Anti-Fire Act. This effectively banned any and all use of fire magic within all of England. The Council of Magic was later changed to the Triumvirate in the 1540's, and from then on are set on killing off every last fire mage. Allen Fleming, a 15 year old air mage, wishes to attend the Magical Knights Academy. The academy is where many young, prominent mages attend to improve their use of magic, and eventually become a magical knight. Magical knights are the respected mages who protect the cities of England and keep its citizens safe. But in order to even attend the academy, Allen must first pass the entrance exam. However, Allen's magic is extremely weak and he relies mostly on his physical fighting ability. Air is considered the strongest element within England, and with his lack of air magic prowess, many mages hate and ignore him. But what many do not know, is that Allen possesses a second element - the fire element! Without knowing who his real parents are, and having to keep his fire magic a secret, Allen has to work hard if he ever wishes to become a magical knight and achieve his goals. However, with tensions rising within the Triumvirate, fire mages on the run, and other events happening behind the scenes, Allen must go from being the weakest to the strongest if he even hopes to stop what may be coming in the near future.

Charlie X Reader, 'Playing With Fire' Book 1 (Series Completed) *** "Uh, yeah. I stopped going to classes a while back. Believe it or not, that's not good for the GPA. I had, like, a 26 average or something," I said like it wasn't a big deal. "Damn, that's not great," he admitted. He rounded the corner into Percy's room. I could hear Percy fighting with the twins in their room. "Why'd you do that?" he asked teasingly. "My dad died," I answered honestly. "Oh, shit. I'm sorry," he said and his face dropped. "It's alright," I dismissed. "Seriously, stop looking at me like that." "I can't help it," he said. "You're making it worse. You look like a wounded puppy," I whined. "Don't be like everyone else. I'm sick of people treating me differently because of this whole thing. Treat me normally." "You mean, like flirt with you a little bit?" "Well, I, uh," I stuttered. He grinned at me. "You're blushing." *** Seventh-year Y/N Y/L/N is what the professors would call a prime example of wasted potential, with an impressively bad 26% average. As far as she's concerned, she is past academic redemption. However, Dumbledore and McGonagall decide to introduce a new opportunity for struggling students, a scholarship that covers a trip abroad. Y/N is desperately in need of this scholarship if she wants to graduate from Hogwarts, but she is struggling through more than anyone knows. The only thing that is keeping her going is the family she's found with the Weasleys. They're an odd bunch and that's exactly why she fits in. Because she doesn't. Things are simple with the Weasley family. That is until she crosses a line with one of the Weasley boys, a path that can never be retraced. Y/N finds herself trapped in a web of lies that she had created. One spark and everything she has worked for could be gone in an instant. And she's playing with fire. This story contains mature content. Trigger warnings are included at the beginning of chapters. I hope you enjoy!
