Life is a bustle. Our daily thoughts are a crowd of social media and sound bites; stranger faces on the subway and sidewalk; and ever-present images that are designed to make us desire. Somewhere beneath it all is you and your perspective. Romantic? Perhaps. But what would happen if you shut-out the noise for just an hour each night and listened to the heartbeat inside of you? What would happen if you translated that heartbeat into written rhythm and interpret your perspective of the noise with language? Something very lovely I think. Something very calming. Something that would clear your mind, letting you think clearly and allowing you to express the affect you rarely transform into language. Welcome to my week of doing just that.
