"You let her get the best of you?"

The man underneath me sputtered, a deep red spirting from his lips. "She-she looked so weak my Lord!"

I caught my lance and drove it into his flesh. The demon screamed violently and shook against the cold concrete. His face smudged itself in his own discarded blood. I summoned a small towelette and kneed on it, making sure not to stain my new slacks. The head of my lance dug further into his back. 

"Stop whining. How is it that all of my scouts have been defeated by a twenty-one-year-old mortal female?" My whispers reach the demon's ears and he shivers in fear.

I don't know what she means, yet her words mean the world to me at this very moment: 4 minutes ago, I was born.
