"I haven't heard of anything like this in years," she uttered out, running her thumbs along his defined cheekbones. Her fingers trailed off, outlining every part of his face possible. They softly grazed his jawline and traced up his temples. Her nimble digits mapped the sharp edges and rounded features of his face with delicacy and care. In a show of completion, her right index finger landed just below his chin. She tilted his head up and let her hand slide away into the air.

"Will it ever return?" he mumbled as he watched with wide eyes as her own, clouded green orbs gazed longingly into the nothingness.
