It was quite. Not a bird chirping, not even a single leaf blowing in the wind. There was only silence... and then they came. We knew they were coming; our satellites had picked up their frequency, but still we didn't expect them to come when they did. Their ships were giant black masses that covered the sky. People were running to their homes, probably thinking they would be safe, but they weren't... we were all sentenced to death. We had no choice, but to call on "The Rippers": men and women that were trained from youth to be warriors. They were stronger, faster, and more intelligent than the average human being. Lydia Grey is a soldier for the U.S military, classified in the "Ripper" division. She has been trained in combat since she was five years old. She believes that she is forever lost in pain and darkness, due to the loss of her freedom since being chosen to become a "Ripper". Until one day she meets Isaac, and he shows her that there is still beauty left in the world... and in her. Together they try to stop the invaders from completely taking over their home, but time is running out. Will they succeed? Will Lydia find the light in the world, or let the darkness consume her? Who will live... and who will die?
