It was quite. Not a bird chirping, not even a single leaf blowing in the wind. There was only silence... and then they came. We knew they were coming; our satellites had picked up their frequency, but still we didn't expect them to come when they did. Their ships were giant black masses that covered the sky. People were running to their homes, probably thinking they would be safe, but they weren't... we were all sentenced to death. We had no choice, but to call on "The Rippers": men and women that were trained from youth to be warriors. They were stronger, faster, and more intelligent than the average human being. These lethal humans beings would become our hope. Our survival. They would be the ones to give us a fighting chance. I would know, I'm one of them. Lydia Grey is a soldier for the U.S military, classified in the "Ripper" division. She has been trained in combat since she was five years old. She believes that she is forever lost in pain and darkness, due to the loss of her freedom since being chosen to become a "Ripper". Until one day she meets Isaac, and he shows her that there is still beauty left in the world... and in her. Together they try to stop the invaders from completely taking over their home, but time is running out. Will they succeed? Will Lydia find the light in the world, or let the darkness consume her? Lieth was born in Scottland and migrated to America as a child when she was ten years old, Ten years before the invasion. She was now 30yrs old. The chemical used in the war completely altered her genetic makeup. She stopped growing upon becoming infected and the effects were permanent. The chemical also caused her hair roots to stain a deep green hue giving her a more inhuman hair color. Her eyes defined her the most. They were a brilliant shade of Ember, like flames in a fire. Kaija was Heir to his Father's Reine. The Tephra were a very tall, fit, Agile and fast, clearly built for hunting. They also stopped aging once they hit adult-hood. Dying only due to sickness, accidents or being slain. Kai's hope was to hopefully unite both races, by force if needed. Kai had long white hair that went past his hips. His skin was a tannish cream tone, a scar over his left eye. He had an agile black tail that was adorned in gold armor. Long pointed elf-like ears. He wore black armor with gold trimming that was protective against attacks of any kind, but was very light making it easy for him to move around. Armored boots adorned with climbing spikes and gloves that exposed his razor-sharp claws. The most distinctive feature of all was the golden skill mask he wore that shown is crystalline blue hues.
