(Written: November 2017) My entry for the National Novel Writer's Month's Young Writer's program. I didn't have to edit because of the word count, so the grammar/punctuation/etc. is probably shit. I also did this for my junior year of creative writing. 90% sure there's some unedited references I used in here that I normally fix before publishing, so I'm going to look like a weeb now.

Synopsis: Our main characters, Kassandra and Carter, as well as some friends, prepare for the worst and look back at their memories as an impending nuclear war is quickly making its way to their home.All Rights Reserved

I have sat often in front of the computer, and stared long at the screen without ever writing a word. The synopsis for this project has haunted me since the first person asked me "So, what is it about?", and to this day I have never been able to deliver a straight answer. This book is about a number of things, many of which do not fit evenly into a succinct description. I have tried to make them fit and have found the resulting descriptions ill-representing and dull. Thus, I have decided to go without a description. This book will fade into obscurity no matter what I put here, so I might as well write what's really important. Winter in a city is an especially punishing time. This book comes out of my late nights and early mornings riding the train, and my looking at the window and being able to make out nothing but the blur of the glass. From the outside it may look dead, but certain people know that the inner workings of a city are a true marvel to behold. In writing this, I have tried to capture that marvel and deliver it to you, the reader. This is a book about a city and the people within it. The rest is up for you to read, if you so choose. Usually, being the new kid at school means that you are awkwardly introduced every period, and catching up on all the work. It doesn't usually involved a knife wielding redhead saving you from more knife wielding maniacs, right? The battleground lines aren't clear, and the only people who know how to stop it are, of course, only human. This story is my NaNoWriMo 2019 Novel. This is book one in the Disillusionment series. As the narrator, I'm tempted to simply write "Middle Finger" because that is essentially what you'll feel like I'm giving you in telling this story. However, for the sake of not being a complete dick, I'll write a little more than just a description of a disrespectful gesture. This story can aptly be described as crude and deranged. As you may have surmised, a crazy person will be telling this story, and the characters involved are indeed also all crazy in their own special ways. So, given this exercise in mental illness, the topics touched on (in no particular order) in this tale are destruction, death, superpowered wackos, torture, pain, loneliness, chaos, the will to survive, never giving up, giving up and not giving a shit, the desire to protect, failing to protect and causing more trouble than was already present, disappointing and/or abusive parental figures, bullies, unjust punishments, just punishments, racism, violent and usually superpowered fights, sci-fi gadgets, bitterness, sarcasm, twisted and demented comedy, control or lack thereof, weird and awkward high school drama, lies and brainwashing, alien aggression, moral ambiguity, unhinged villains, fantastical weapons, a piece of shit main character, conditional friendship, a fuck load of musical references, anger, fear, depression, extra-dimensional creatures, godly powers, various esoteric connections, pop culture references, and of course, in general, superpowers.

The Hawaiian Special Forces by WingedPanther73

This is the story I'm writing for NaNoWriMo 2015. The goal: 50,000 word RAW draft written entirely in the month of November. Unlike most of my stories, which I prefer to edit before posting, I'm actually going to post updates to this at the end of each day in chapter-sized chunks. The idea behind this story is that a terrorist attack in the near future causes the US to go hyper-isolationist, to the point that it abandons Hawaii and Alaska to fend for themselves. They do, forming the United Pacific States (maybe with a few other island countries). Hawaii then goes on to turn itself into the new world police with stealthy, genetically modified cyber-soldiers. I'm marking this story as mature because there will be action scenes, and probably some interesting perspectives on nudity and relationships. I'm not planning on anything explicit, but this won't be a kids book. Validated winner at 50,040 words!

After surviving in an underwater bunker for 15 years, 5 young adults are sent out to scope out the land to start over. Again. Three soldiers-one of them being the daughter of the Chief of North America-and two scientists began their journey feeling more or less hopeful about the road ahead. But less than 48 hours after stepping onto the surface, they realize it's not as safe as they thought and there are enemies-dead and alive-lurking in every corner. - AN: Obviously it's still a work in progress, but I'm hoping to get some comments and feedback about what I have so far so maybe I can one day publish when it's done. I also have plot lines for two other books that take place years after this one ends so it's a possible trilogy!
