*Every single character in this book is intentionally based on a real person or collection of real people. A vast majority of events in this book are based on real incidents involving the real people. As the book continues to be serialized, the actual people behind the characters will be revealed. All except one. In December of 2017, Tinsley Port's body was found floating in the central pond of The Carolina Conservatory for The Arts. Immediately, her seven closest friends were taken into custody. A year later, Bertie Blandish writes her account from the Orange State Penitentiary, giving her account of everything leading up to the grisly and stylishly named, "Carolina Circle Murders." By writing her account, she claims to not want fame, but Bertie and bullshit start with the same letter and her motives are always ulterior.

But when her twenty-first birthday rolls around, she finds herself gathering with her friends and celebrating it with alcohol. But alcohol itself isn't the problem, it's what she does next that is. She drives drunk. And all too soon, her perfect life changes. She finds herself being convicted of manslaughter and is thrown behind bars with her guilt eating her alive. This is the mistake that broke her, and now she's damned to suffer through life alone.....or is she? * * * "I'M FUCKING DIRTY! How can you even stand me, how can you even bear to look at me?" He questions emotionally, becoming a mix of angry and sorrowful. " I was a victim of human trafficking, too. I'm just like you in that aspect, just like you." I say, grabbing his hand tightly and pulling him closer and looking him in the emotionally driven eyes. "Don't keep pulling yourself down, don't you see that you are drowning yourself?" I ask, my voice breaking. "Just let me drown." He whispers. "Never." *Beautiful cover by tittylord
