Histoires vraies
On the last day of her life, Audrie Pott walked through a crucible of teenage torment. A curvaceous sophomore at Saratoga High School, dressed in the cool-girl's uniform of a low-cut top and supershort skirt, she looked the same as always, but inside she was quivering with humiliation. In the week since school had started, girls had been giving her looks, and guys had congregated around phones, smirking. On Facebook, messages were pinging into her inbox, each one delivering another gut punch. She was a young dancer. I found her diary as I was exploring a cellar in an old building. She loved to dance on the rooftops at night with her best friend Lily. Some people say that she still does. According to the diary, everything spiralled out of control when she and her best friend Lily encountered that guy behind the apartment complex. I'm serious: beware of that dancer when she wanders the streets in the dead of night. She's looking for the one who fed on her life and stole her innocence--the one that she feels so confused about. If you're tall and wearing a hoodie or something like that, she might mistake you for him. You don't want this to happen. I still don't know who or what she is exactly. Maybe you should make up your own mind: this story is the diary I found. I typed it into my computer and attached the documents that were in my possession. By the way, beware of that guy too: dealers of a new kind have been roaming the neighbourhood lately. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- © 2018 Violetta Liddell All Rights Reserved.
