Mia Rondei, was just an ordinary girl in foster care. Her parents left her there one day when they decided they didn't want a child, at least that's what she was told. 

Jumping from foster home, to foster home, no one seemed to want her as their child, every time they'd always say there was something weird about her, or that she wasn't as nice as they thought she'd be.

She began to assume that there was no one who would ever want her or need her and soon gave up on all hopes for people to adopt her.

Finally, someone adopts her but not for the reason she thought, and soon discovers something much more than she could ever have imagined.All Rights Reserved

And despite everything, my first impulse is to crawl backwards, away from the unnatural calm radiating from her. ------------- After reading yet another great older brothers/younger sister story, where the family gets reunited after years of separation, the sister keeps the secret that she was abused and assaulted all along, and the brothers conceal their work in the mafia, I decided to give it also a try. The output of my story was initially to turn this around with openness and unconditional support and the torture should happen right in front of their very eyes. Because no story is complete without the (un)necessary bloodshed, action, humour and, of course, a bad guy. And who knows, to throw everything completely upside down, the main character may not survive. I won't write warnings above each chapter, because most of them contain violence, blood, torture, etc. Constructive criticism is welcome. Ow, and English is not my first, second or third language. So if I mess up somewhere, let me know!

That she looked too much like them yet the others were afraid of her in the beginning. That she was different from them as well. So this is a story I wrote about a girl named Nova. She lives in a world where everyone has a supernatural power. Nova is 13, and if a person's power doesn't show by the time they're 14, they're given to the Government to either be tested or killed. The Government basically makes all the decisions for the whole country. So, Nova's 13, and she still hasn't discovered her powers. When her birthday comes, she still has no power. She can either be sent to the Government, for either testing or death, or she can risk her life running away. I created this story, I created these characters, the characters and the plot are mine. This story is written in first person (using I, we, us, etc.) Also, this is going to be my story for the #justwriteit challenge Also, the idea for this story was given to me by one of my best friends, @minewtlover14
