It comes a time in one's life when a decision has to be made, even if it's completely against what you wanted in the first place. After Asuma's death by Akatsuki, Uzumaki Naruto takes responsibility for what happened and makes a decision that would certainly benefit the entire village, even if he wasn't there to see it.
