Before I start this story, I want to clarify something: My life is as messy as scrambled eggs with ketchup (which, by the way, is the only way I can eat them). So here we go.
Clarity Aldwell's life is a mess, and the only way she can fix it is by marrying someone. Not just anyone, either. She needs to marry rich.
After a long day of work, her mother tells her that her rich husband-to-be is going to be waiting for her at the airport the next day.
Thomas Danvers' life is a mess, and the only way he can fix it is by helping someone. Not just anyone, either. He needs to help the poor.
After a long day of school, his parents convince him to marry a girl he doesn't know, and that his poor wife-to-be will be picking him up at the airport the next day.
"My name is Clarity Aldwell, and this is the story of how I met and married a man in 24 hours."
"My name is Thomas Danvers, and this is the story of how I met and married a woman in 24 hours."
There's always been something missing in Stevie's life. She just doesn't know what or who it is.
When Stevie's father starts to act suspicious, she takes it upon herself to find out what he's hiding. But when she finally sees what secret he's keeping from her, will she be able to handle it?
Will all of the pain be worth it when she finally discovers this missing thing? Can she stand to hold her strength through thick and thin, like the way her father raised her? And who's to say that an adorable teenage boy can't get in the way in all of this?
Life is tough when you're sixteen. It's even tougher when you're Stevie Roberts.
*please be forewarned that this was the first story i ever posted on this site. needless to say my writing style has changed and improved tremendously since then (at least i think it has). proceed with caution.*
