Five hundred years pass since the surface and all of the living things have been destroyed and life has returned once again. Link, who is an adventurous eleven year old child, decides to adventure the Deep woods near his village which are rumoured to have powerful monsters there. There, he accidentally finds and unseals Ghirahim. Ghirahim looks younger, is weaker, and holds no memory of his past life.
