Towerpointe Prep is the most prestigious boarding school and the only way to get in, is to be absolutely amazing. So, how did Asher Devreaux--the varsity track runner, just happen to slip by? Turns out varsity boy doesn't only have a fast mile time, but a wide mind and a witty sense of humour--Just what Emerson doesn't need. The girl who's been trained her whole life to succeed and the boy who somehow made it in. When the two share a love for running and somehow collide: Anything could happen. ******This story was written when I was a sophomore in high school and my writing has obviously improved since then. I decided to take this off drafts because 1) I'm writing a sequel to be posted soon AND 2)I was re-writing this, but decided the story was better left for my future self to revisit.*****

Ivy Miller used to have it all figured out. Gymnastics was her escape, her passion, her everything. Until a bad ankle injury forced her out of the gym - and back into a reality she's been running from for years. Luke Carter has always been fast. On the track, in life, and away from the things he doesn't want to feel. But no speed could ever outrun grief, responsibility, or the pressure of holding his family together after losing his mom. When their worlds unexpectedly collide - first at physical therapy, then at school - the last thing either of them expects is to find comfort in someone else's mess. They both have scars. They both have stories. And maybe... that's exactly what brings them closer. A story about sports, grief, family, late-night drives, healing, and learning to trust - even when life hurts.
