Judy Stone is seventeen years old and has been a quiet, unhappy girl since the day her sister passed away. Her mother wants her to be socialable and forces her to make her go to birthday parties for four years old with her little sister. But Judy is headstrong; she doesn't want to be happy after the loss of her sister.
Then she meets Zac, a boy who makes her laugh again.
Now the question is... will she accept this new beginning with open arms, or will she close again?
A story in the genre of The Fault in Our Stars and Amy and Roger's Epic Detour, a romantic tale about loss and love.

Haar moeder probeert haar terug open te doen bloeien door haar er zo vaak mogelijk op uit te sturen met haar zusje van vier, tot grote ergernis van Judy, die liever niet meer buiten komt. Dan ontmoet ze echter Zac, een jongen die haar voor het eerst in tijden aan het lachen maakt.
De vraag is alleen of ze zelf wel open wil staan voor een nieuw begin...
