Elias Bud is one the few that had been anchored by his responsibilities in hometown Arvin, California. Refusing to leave his sister in favor of his deceased grandmother's wishes that he raise her, Bud has chosen a life of crime to support eight year old Rhya. But parenting isn't really Bud's field of expertise. Having to struggle between keeping a roof over his family's head, staying out of jail, and his sister's anomalous behavioral problems, the twenty-four year old finds himself desperate and at the core of a ransom gambit in order to make extra money. In the middle of his game plan, something unexpected takes place, forcing Elias to collaborate with his hostage in order to rescue his sister from an ominous threat of the otherworldly kind.

Rory is gay and his Mom has just passed away and soon after the funeral his life is completely upended when he finds out that his Mom contacted the father that he never knew he had. Now, he's forced to live in the desert with a very unusual family he doesn't know, and a father he doesn't want to know. Friends will be made and the meaning of family will be found as Rory discovers that everything isn't so bad in the desert after all. There is some sex in the story but the story is not about sex; it is about Rory dealing with a whole new world of opportunities and challenges. I will be updating five chapters evry two weeks.
