I carried my first box into the new house, it was raining. I set the soaking wet box down carefully. I looked around the house. It had dark brown espresso wood floors that creaked with every step. The walls were painted a ugly green snot color. Whatever. I thought to myself. This house, in the middle of nowhere, was my new beginning. I had a rough past. As I was lost in thought, thinking about my awful past, my mother bumped into me. I jumped. "Why are you standing in the middle of the door way Victoria?" she asked, well yelled, while caring a armful of boxes. "Sorry." I mumbled. A crack of lightening lit up the family room. I picked up my box. I walked up the squeaking stairs and down the hallway, out of my mothers way. As I reached my room's doorway, I stopped dead in my tracks. Fear and panic filled me. "MOM!" I screamed. Within a few seconds. she was at my side. She gasped. The walls of my room were splattered with redish brown paint. It resembled the color of blood. "Hm. I guess we will have to paint. I don't want to keep that green color downstairs anyways." she continued to rant to herself as she walked down stairs. Paint, just paint. Why am I stressing so much? New start, remember? I silently thought to myself. I set the box in the middle of my room and went back out side into the pouring rain. Before I turned around, a flash a lightening lit up my room. I could of sworn I saw a figure in the corner of my room. My eyes basically popped out of my head. Another flash, the figure wasn't there this time. I shook my head and laughing to myself at my foolishness as I trotted down the stairs and outside to grab the rest of the boxes.

I took a step towards the door but his hands latched onto my hand and I was suddenly pulled into his arms. "You're not going to step out of this house." "I am not going to sleep with you." I gave him a shove but he didn't bulge. "I never will." "You never will?" He asked pulling me till I completely fell on him. "Think again Roe, your sister... and your uncle and aunt." All bravardo left me and dread settled in my mind. "I can make a phone call and make them pay for your decisions." He smiled as if on victory as teares brimmed my eyes. "You wouldn't." It came out as a whisper even before i could stop. His smile widened as he leaned down. "Try me." He whispered and a shudder ran down my spine. "You're a monster." The water work started even when I didn't want to cry infront of this man. "Yes, I am a monster.
