'To live is to suffer' is Elliott Alderson's motto of Life. With an intent to end this suffering, he decides to take a Leap of Death.

Unlike the Leap of faith, the outcome for the leap of death is known and has been proved a lot of times. And while the Leap of faith is metaphorical, the leap of death is literal. You take the leap, you die.
