Fangs pierced the flesh of her carotid artery, allowing passage to venom seeping into the pumping stream of life. Numbness settled itself within her body, reaching further and further with each beat of her heart. One of her hands went to her throat in attempt to dislodge the beast feeding on her, while the other curled around her swollen abdomen, as if protecting the life nestled within her womb. She panicked, not knowing what fate would befall her child if she were to die this day; while she sobbed as she came to realize that she would never hold her baby, and her mate would lose the two most important things in his life.All Rights Reserved
