Dan is feared among his class mates. People believe his a criminal; a thief, drug addict, murderer. whatever you crime you can think of, students probably believe he did it.
Dan has one friend. Louise. Friends since childhood, Louise is the only person at school that will talk to Dan. She believes he's just a giant teddy bear, everyone disagrees.
One English lesson the teacher decides that for class they will need to write a letter to the teachers other class. Instead of actually writing a proper letter, Dan draws a cartoon lion with some writing above and below it.
Phil just so happens to receive this letter and is asks to write one back. They soon become friends and things seem to go down hill from there.
