Being brought up in a Christian home I've always been taught being homosexual was a sin. And that if you were gay you would go to hell. This is a story showing the battle between being gay and being Christian.

Sometimes we fear truth over reality. But things get dark and heavy and we play the blame game. We end up hurting others or ourselves even. We don't think before we act or we don't say before we do. If only you knew, honestly if only I knew where I would be at this time last year I would call you insane. It feels like not to long ago I was your regular Christian. The school, the church, the "perfect" life? It was all's lie. I was the skinny boy who was bullied at school and at home. That is till I met him. He changed my life. He saved my life. And I couldn't be more thankful. When I was little, I was never healthy for a full day. When I would go to school, I would carry around an oxygen tank so that I could breathe properly. There was once where I had come close to death. At that time, my mother and father promised me that they wouldn't ever leave me. That is, until someone came in an murdered them while I was at school. When I was dropped off from the bus stop, I automatically knew something was wrong because my mother would always wait for me. When she wasn't there, I began to get worried. 'Had she forgotten?' Was the first thing I thought as I walked up the stairs and into my house. 'Mama? Papa?' I questioned walking into their room. As I made the first step in, I heard squishing under my feet as if the carpet was wet.
