What's a witch? Generally speaking, an evil character from those fairy tales you're told as a kid. An evil magical woman with horrible intentions, out to ruin the lives of the beautiul, charming, perfect--yet humble--princess. She does things like casting spells, brewing evil in giant cauldrons, spewing frogs, and eating the hearts of the endearing female protagonist. Another key thing? They're fake. Or, you know, they're supposed to be. If the world played by the rules, they would be imaginary. Fake. Couldn't hurt a thing. But say there's a witch. A real one. By default, magic also exists. And, logically speaking, if magic exists in the world, who's to say more people--than just the witch--can't use it? Namely, random people who were doing just fine in a world without magic. Namely, me. And everyone around me. And when witches go after such random, innocent, people, as they say, 'shenanigans ensue.' So, no, I never thought it would turn out like this. And, now, on with the shenanigans.
