Then I see him, lurking in the shadows of the dark hall upstairs, his silhouette casting a shadow across the wall. My heart beats faster with every step he takes; closer, closer. He towers over me within seconds, his tall frame overwhelming me; I shiver with fright and fight against the cuffs around my wrists that hold me hostage.
