Inas Bata is a university student who works for her best friend's family to help pay for tuition. It just so happens that Inas isn't working for the family restaurant like she thought she would be. Instead, she's running through dimensions, carrying out tasks for her friend's mom, a major political figure in a world beyond ours. Despite the risks involved with her job, Inas is doing pretty well, at least until her friend goes missing and Inas has to find her. 

Anara Zhaparov is a regular high school student with failing grades and a massive crush on one of the most popular students at the school. She's managed to have a fairly normal life, despite the fact that her mom is from another universe. However, Anara's is forever changed when her sister goes missing and she's forced to tag along with Inas in order to A) find her sister and B) run errands for her mother who clearly doesn't have anyone's best interests at heart. 

Marina Teel is a music prodigy who's one worry is deciding what to do when she finishes high school. This is forever changed, however, when she's attacked by a creature who isn't quite of this world and is swept up into an adventure to find a missing person and ensure that she won't be attacked again.

Evelyn Sheer and the researchers are trying to create a genetic modification that enables humans to photosynthesize. Once in the facility, Evita is tagged as a test subject and loses all say over what happens to her body. She has to escape. By the time she comes up with a plan there is only one problem. Evita isn't ready to leave.
