There were three of them in this room. Two of them were in trouble. The man that sat across them was staring at the two intensely. The man's eyes shifted back from him to the girl that sat next to him. Her breaths were shallow. Not truly breathing, but taking moments to collect herself.
When his eyes moved to look at her, her eyes darted downwards. Away from their gazes. He could feel her shivers. Fear washed over her like a wave. Tugging her, pulling back into her shell. The one he had worked so hard breaking. She was being swallowed with fear.
Their hands were only mere inches away as he hoped to grasp onto hers. Her hand gripped the arm of the chair. Knuckles turning white due to the loss of color. You seemed so close, yet so far away. The man in front of them seemed to sneer in the fact that she was uncomfortable. He could feel his own gaze moving from being stone cold to a flash of fire. How dare he. This man obviously did not know you as much as he did, but he was considering it as quite rude.
He knew all of your fears, and dreams. Each one was something he treasured. A piece of you that nobody else could possess. Except this fear, he knew very well. It was what had drawn you two together. To bring you closer than just that. Bringing closer student and teacher. He knew what you feared the most. You had considered it your superpower. The power to disappear. You felt it was your greatest strength. After all, it was your greatest fear to be seen.
