15 year old Sandy Harris has just moved to Memphis, TN from Australia to live with her aunt and uncle. She doesn't know anyone and she doesn't want to be there but will a certain someone change her mind.
Sandy Harris is an only child of officer Davis Harris. She has grown up with the comfort of both her parents under the same roof all her life.
Now however after a threat has been made against her father her parents pack her up and force her to move to an entirely different country with Davis' brother and his wife in the Tennessee town of Memphis.

It is 1974, and Elvis is busy doing shows in Vegas. He is still in a bit of a slump because of his divorce with Priscilla the year before, and, for the first time in his life, he doesn't want to have anything to do with romance. He just tries to stay busy. Well, all is thrown off-kilter when he happens to see a young bellhop at the hotel he's living and working in being mistreated. Of course, he will have none of that. Turns out the lad is a young woman, to his surprise, as her blonde hair escapes her bellhop hat.
