"Who's Macy?" Makayla asks, with a questioning look in her eyes, "My best friend," I smile. "Hey! She's my best friend too!" Gemma butts in. I turn and give her a sly smile. "Yeah, yeah, whatever. She's in Canada at the moment." I finish turning back to Makayla.

The bell goes just as I finish my apple, and as I exit the classroom I feel my eyes start to water. "La, are you okay?" I hear West say, as I walk past him. "It's not like you care." I reply, feeling the tears start to run down my face as I walk away. "La, you're not okay. What's wrong?" He persists grabbing my arm gently and pulling me back. "Why are you acting like you care?" I ask getting slightly frustrated. "I know I don't act like it but I care about you more than anyone, you are more my family than my own family." He gives me a shy smile, as I look up at him disbelieving.
