Emily knew she was never normal but she always thought being unnormal was normal, she never thought she would be thrown into a insane asylum for it. But thats what the evil directer Mrs Applegate thinks. And just think it all happened because all Emily wanted to do was write an artical about the Asylum for her Journalism class.
Note: Even though this may be never mentioned in the story but it takes place in the 1940's

I was born extremely healthy but I wasn't all normal.... many would say abnormal in appearance. after being sent off the doctor's and nurses placed me in a dark room alone, they've swapped me out for a child who supposedly was "normal" to them. ever since that exact day I was desperate for revenge. locked away in the asylum for 13 years, I became a common attraction I suppose you could call it, personally I found it a repeating nightmare. outsiders clocked in just to see me then clock out over and over till one day I finally had enough. planning to break out I left through my wards closed off window into the outside world alone. disguising myself amongst the commoners roaming the streets and alleyways searching for food and other supplies that could be of use. while searching I come across this building when I realized the horror's that lurked beneath its surface leaving me unprepared for the after math of destruction.

Lily, not knowing what really happened to her parents, and not understanding at all, she decides to take things into her own hands. At first she killed animals because she thought her parents were lonely where ever they were. After trying to kill her own Grandmother she was sent to The House, an insane asylum for kids. There she met seven other kids with situations similar to her own. Will Lily get better and go live with her family again or will she remain in a sense of denial enough that her sanity is in jeopardy?
