All throughout Taylor’s life he’s been ridiculed, pushed around and beaten down—both physically and emotionally. Ever since he was a small kid, his family has treated him like he was a plague due to the ‘accident’ that killed him and his older brother’s parents. Even at sixteen, he still hasn’t spoken a word to anyone because of the trauma of witnessing their deaths. This especially doesn’t help with the fact that his aunt and uncle decided to move him half way across the country to a new school. Being mute, broken-hearted, and a complete outcast to his new school isn’t winning him any friends either.
It’s only until the day that he decided he’s going to end his life... that his life gets a fresh beginning of something new. Something unexpected and life-changing.

An Unexpected Moment

His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances.
