They say the Devil is real strong in the town called Tucker's Summit. They say he lives down by the river in that old lumber mill. The Devil stole the old miller away, so now it's empty.
The Devil's stole a lotta people away since then.

This is my first attempt at writing a horror story. I know it probably isn't particularly frightening, but hopefully is still a bit creepy. The premise is based on a dream I had. Let me know what you think!

"Please don't hurt me" I begged. "Oh I'm not going to hurt you... not as long as you behave yourself" he said, leaning his face closer to mine. It's an Action/Adventure Following a young African American male, dealing with the problems of his mother that is originally not from Earth, being tracked by his mother's people he will be facing the trials and the repercussion of his mother's actions. "I've always loved you, River. Ever since we were little kids and you pushed me down on the playground because I threw rocks at that dorky fat girl. No one had ever treated me like that before. Since then, I've been kind of...obsessed." His steel gaze turned in to a dark smile again. "When you left me, River, you forced me to do things that I really didn't want to do..." He moved closer and inhaled my neck for a few seconds. Then he kissed me...well, he tried. I couldn't move my mouth but that didn't keep Brody from plunging deeply into it and exploring every crevice with his tongue. When he was satisfied he pulled away and finished his sentence with dark eyes and a sinister smile. "Now, I'm going to force you to do things that you really don't want to." He stood up and walked to the end of the bed, dragging his fingertips down my naked body the whole way. He put my shackles back on my ankles & wrists and locked them. "The paralyzing serum is going to start wearing off in about twenty minutes. Until then though, nobody is going to touch you..." He pushed a button on the side of the table. From the split between my legs, down, the table divided and split in two, opening my core and causing me to do a full split. Brody smiled while the tears rushed back with a vengeance. Creator: Friend or Foe?
This story began as a NaNoWriMo 2012 work, with no planning, and even less idea of plot. I learned from that experience that I am not a 'pantser' -and spent about 20 painful months trying to turn my stream-of-consciousness 3-stories-in-one into one coherent novel, following the timeline and events in the Book of Genesis. I discovered that that is not a great way to build a plot. I ended after 5 more drafts, at about 60k words. There is another draft on my blog, slightly longer, a bit more experimental. My mind scrambling to process what had happened as I felt rubble falling around me, surrounding me in darkness. I reached up, my arm stinging as I hit the hard wood table over me, which was keeping the rubble off me, miraculously. I wiped my forehead, sweat, and probably blood dripping down my arm and side of head as I reached for a nearby rock, trying to push on it, hoping that it might help me out of this disaster. "Mom? Betty?" I called, hoping for a response, only to get none. I didn't even get the slightest whimper from any of them. What the heck happened? "Mom?! Betty?!" I screamed this time, trying to push myself up onto my back, my leg killing me so much that I had to give up. I laid back down on the ground, placing my hand on the bottom of the table; anger, fear, confusion getting the best of me. I screamed as I banged my fists on the wood table. "MOM? BETTY?" Nothing. I was ready to bang on the wood again, but I flinched back when I heard the sound of moving rubble. Whoever it is was almost near where I was, and ... moving quickly. So, there's no possible way that it was a human. It would take hundreds do men to lift these boulders, but whoever this person is, is stronger than anyone I would kn- My thoughts froze as I watched something large wrap around the edges of the table, lifting it up; my eyes widening as I came face to face with the largest creature known to mankind.
