There was a loud crack behind them, and the two women whirled around. There was nothing in sight. "Come, child. We have done all we can." The old woman said, wrapping her shawl around herself tightly. Rosaline knelt down, and kissed the baby girl's fair head, and stood, pausing only to whisper four final words. "Ave atque vale, Gwendolyn." Farewell forever, Gwendolyn. And with that, she turned and walked away, leaving the innocent child to whatever lurked in the dangerous waters.

"Kiss me" I told her as I took my sweatshirt off to stop her bleeding with it. "No... " She whispered. "Yes, you're weak." And I cupped her face to kiss her. Her cold fine lips touched mine and I felt electrified with a wave of emotions. She moved her lips on mine and I deepened the kiss. I wanted her to kiss me and I needed to know that she was going to be okay. "Take it, please" I whispered. "I need to know that you'll be okay." She looked so weak but I could see that the wounds were starting to heal, however I didn't feel anything from her part to pull my soul. "No... Matriel should be here any moment now" "No! Why are you doing this?" I touched my forehead of hers and started sobbing. "You need to go... It's dangerous for you to be here." "What about you?" She interrupted me with a kiss and chuckled. "Now I understand so many things. I can kiss you and have nothing happen to you, isn't this great?" But before I started to answer, I heard a noise at the door.
