Things have never been the same since the world ended. Now we lived in fear, we were unsure of what was to come to next day, so we lived each day as if it were our last. That's the funny thing about life, you don't know when your last day is coming. So you wake up each morning, say your prayers, and hope for the best. Prayers never did me any good, so I don't bother, but when I see my people pray every morning I stay quiet. They needed their hope, they needed that flicker of light to guide them in the darkness, I wasn't going to be the one to put it out. But when push comes to shove, when you're barely alive and should be dead, the people who you don't know may just save you. Surviving without enemies is hard enough. But when the past comes back to haunt and enemies come to fight, the apocalypse may just become almost impossible to survive. Brains and brawn may not be enough. It takes heart to make it day to day. They knew it would be hard. They didn't know it would be next to impossible to survive. This is a story my friend and I wrote together. It took us about a year to complete.
