The Golden Rose

In The Vicinity of Fate, every name and personality describes one's destiny. This means, if you have a powerful name, you must have a powerful future, as an unfortunate or common name will give you a bland future. But the circumstances of being great or poor have nothing to do with how someone's life is until they receive their trinket of destiny.
Everyone has a small trinket to represent their name and destiny, of which they receive on their 17th birthday. Every trinket is unique in some way or another, all being beautiful and alluring. People of the most rare natures have spectacular or even crooked trinkets, and the trinkets can be as detailed and creative as one may imagine. The rarity of a trinket depends on the material it's made of, the least rare being aluminum, then zinc alloy, stainless steal, iron, copper, and the most rare being pure gold.
One girl named Rose has an utterly normal life, and she absolutely despises it. Nothing ever happens to her at home, school, even the local grocery store. All she can hope for is that her trinket give her some clue of what her life will really be like, and prays that it's more exciting than the life she lives now.
