This single wolf from Yellowstone was a ray of hope to countless wolf-watchers, and her reign occurred during one of the most desperate times in Yellowstone. The last wolf of the famous Druid pack was shot down, ending the packs last hope of continuation. Wolf packs were in decline, and many were on the brink of total annihilation. People were desperate for wolves, and encounters with these magnificent creatures was becoming rare. That was, until 06 arrived.
Named for the year she was born, 2006, 06 brought fame to wolves. A distant relative to the Druid pack, 06 was known for her stunning looks by long-time wolf photographers and for her human-like qualities. She stole the hearts of many with her mind-blowing skills, and shocked everyone when she refused to mate for quite a while. 06 stood up in a time of desolation and refused to give up. She even had an influence after her death which pulled many a person into the constant battle for wolf protection. This is the long awaited story of 06.
