"You're so stupid, Jake." I spat in my Mate's face, clearly angry with him.

"I'm stupid? What about the girl who is sneaking around! Trying to be a 'normal' girl? You're not, Cat. You are a werewolf, one of the most powerful things out there and-"

"Woah, woah, woah." I stopped him mid-sentence. "Did you just call me a thing?"

He face-palmed his forehead and groaned. "You know what I meant!"

"Actually, no. I didn't. Care to explain?"

Before he could, the pack slut, Emma, who was a cat and only was in this pack because she was Mate's with a wolf, walked up to me and rolled her eyes. I smirked, placing my hands on my hips.

"Well, well, well. Look what the cat drug in." I said.

"Hm." She hummed. "I would like to say the same thing... But, uh, why is your name 'Cat?' You're obviously a mutt."

My heart raced. "Why are you in this pack? Because you're Mated with a 'Mutt'. So back-off, bitch. Oh, wait." I sucked in a breath dramatically. "You're not a bitch! You're not dog-or, a Mutt in your mind. You're a filthy cat that doesn't belong here. Your parents didn't want you. Your clan didn't even want you. That's why your here."

By the time I finished she was in tears. Angry tears, not emotional tears. I instantly regretted my words because I was without parents, too. I was without a pack since I was six. But this pack found me and took me in. Emma came a week later and we became best friends. Until she took my first boyfriend.

"Em, I'm-"

"Save it, Cat. I don't need you pity."
