Fifthteen-year-old Beatrice Brennan loved three things in her life more than anything.
Her mother, the team at the Jeffersonian Institution, and bones, human bones if we're being exact.

Unlike any normal teenaged girls Beatrice is familiar with death, murder, and human bodies. She has to be if she wants to be just like her mother. World renown forensic anthropologist, Dr. Temperance Brennan.

Her life was perfect...well perfect as it can get. Good grades and finishing high school in a year, her mother and her being extremely close, a loving team that's like her family, and a passion for giving justice to people who were killed. But what happens when an FBI agent Special Agent Seeley Booth is thrown into the mix. Asking her mum for help in a new murder investigation. If she was going to help then her daughter was too.
A new crime solving trio.

On April 14th, the suicide of Brooke Bishop is tossed aside as old news. But Layla Robinson's been haunted by the lingering doubt that something more sinister was at play. When more "suicides" follow, Layla's suspicions grow stronger, compelling her to embark on a dangerous quest for the truth. Enter Maven Walker, the enigmatic and impossibly handsome new student at her high school. With a reputation for trouble and a past shrouded in mystery, Maven is the last person Layla wants to team up with. But as the bodies pile up, she finds herself reluctantly joining forces with him, drawn by his keen instincts and determination to uncover the killer. As they delve deeper into the investigation, Layla and Maven unearth secrets that go beyond their small town's darkest corners. Each clue brings them closer to a chilling revelation, and the sparks of animosity between them ignite into an unexpected flame of attraction. In a race against time, Layla must navigate her growing feelings for Maven while facing the shadows of a cunning murderer. "My favourite place in the world? My favourite question... it's right next to you." No one has ever really understood how their friendship came to be, but Y/n and Temperance have always spent every free moment together. Even when Y/n is away on cases, they stay connected through phone calls and texts. Despite Temperance's usual aversion to texting and phone conversations, she always responds. Their bond is a mystery, even to them, but the love and friendship they share surpasses any fairy tale. In a world filled with cruelty and chaos, they find solace lying under star-filled skies, even if it means a more expensive coffee in the morning. NOTE: I only own the characters I've created myself; the rest are owned by FOX and CBS. Some backstories have been altered to fit the narrative, so please bear with it. TW: If you're familiar with "Bones" and "Criminal Minds," you know the kind of content to expect. This story includes both angst (a lot of it) and fluff, along with the highs and lows of their journey.
