Up to $1000 in cash for a crime with no found traces of the criminal

Soon enough, she finds herself in front of the police station. There are police cars parked in front of it and officers standing outside, talking to one another. She takes a deep breath and walks inside.

"Thank you" she walks out and shoves the 635 dollars in her wallet. It's not $1000 but it'll do. She checks the time, 11 pm. She yawns and slowly makes her way down to the small apartment she lives in, then her phone buzzes, indicating she has a new text message.

"Why did you do that" -unknown number

She look around quickly as her heart pounds faster.

"Who are you" she types frantically.

"I'm watching you right now. Black leggings, a rolling stones tee shirt. In the middle of an empty street"

Her hands start to shake as her eyes scan every word that describes her perfectly. She hears rustling in one of the bushes in front of her.

"W-who's there?" She struggles to say but tries to sound threatening.

"You've made a mistake. You will pay for it," the unkown number responds back.

Then, the empty streets go silent again.
