"Taehyung.." I breathed against his neck sweetly. His eyes were brimming with tears, blood dripping from his fingers. Eyes were glazing over, and my assured smile made his fingers dig further into her arms. "Don't leave me, don't abandon me", he trembled, hiccuping at each tear. "Not again".
I was limp in his arms, breathing hoarse and slow.
"Don't make me cry again, Myung."
No one will love me like Taehyung did. The world is burning because of my selfishness, and he still loves me. By the time I'm dead today, he will love me more. Funny how distance makes us long for closure more... But it was time. To let go of him, to let go of my family, to let go of everyone that died in this wretched war and everything that suffered because of my stupid hold to life.
"I'm sorry Taehyung. I'm so sorry." I tried to steady myself up carefully, as my legs felt like porcelain puppets. I looked him in the eyes, a gaze of pure unbridled love. It wasn't a false emotion. Just false timing. Confused, he asked me with his eyes that I was that easy to convince otherwise.
"Silly", I croaked "Let go of me, it hurts". His grip loosened momentarily before he realised what he had done, and I, in once swoop, caught my toes to the edge of the cliff, pushing me back and down into the water.
