"No time my friends, now LETS GO!" I scream and shove Regina, Rachel, and Teddy out the door of a warehouse.
They follow me out into the parking lot.
"Maddie, I swear to god if you don't-" Rachel begins but I shoot my gun in the air.
"Shut up!" I yell and hear a few people scream. Regina lets out a gasp of fear and Teddy stares at me with horrified eyes. I barely know myself anymore. I push my friends into a stolen SUV and hit the gas, speeding out NY city.

She has to prove to herself that she can survive without having to rely on someone else. As she ventures through the city, she has to face things that she has never encountered before. This book follows four teenagers from four different parts of the U.S. when their lives are dramatically changed one day. When zombies become real and more than just horror movies and scary books, they're forced to fight to stay alive. What they don't know is how similar their struggles are, along with their goal: get to the supposed safe haven alive. (The book is under editing right now, and I'll be changing the location of the safe haven from Columbus to Cincinnati. I didn't really think it through when I first wrote this but I think that Cincinnati would make a little more sense. Sorry for any confusion!) *************** BEING REWRITTEN I started writing this at 14, and it started out as something I made just for fun. The story was mostly imporvised, and I don't like how it's turned out. I've had a lot of new and hopefully more interesting ideas, and there's so much that I decided to rewrite the whole thing completely. The story will be very different but the characters will be the same for the most part. It'll have the same style of writing with the different points of view, but separated between books instead of chapters, and I already have a storyline laid for the first 2 or 3. A phone call from his friends dad who is stationed on a military base turns weird when he demands for them to get down into a unfinished bunker for safety. After spending days inside, they emerge from the bunker and quickly find out that the world is a different place. It is evident that a war has started but, they can not listen to what so-called leaders of the world have told them. they find out they have to survive on their own, where it seems like it's every man for themselves. I could have killed you!" He says and starts to walk towards me. I take a big breath and step back away from him, "s-stop! Axel," I stutter still panting. It's then he notices the blood on my hands and shirt. "Is that blood?" He asks staring at my shirt and I take another step back. "Stop, stay b-back," I try to say confidently but I can't even breath right. Realizing he won't listen I start to turn around planning to make a break for it.
