Every time Colin looked at his children's faces he only saw his deceased wife. He tried for months but he couldn't handle being reminded of her everyday. When they were babies Colin gave them away. For the first few months Colin tracked his kids and debating taking them back, but never did. 10 years later Evan and Avery are 10 and want to know who their parents are.
